Yantian Container Terminal Phase 3 Extension, China

 

Maunsell AECOM has been appointed by Yantian International Container Terminals Ltd. as the Independent Checking Engineer for the civil, geotechnical and maritime works of the Yantian Container Terminal Phase 3 Expansion in Shenzhen, China.

 

The scope of checking includes 3.3 km of berth structure and associated revetment and retaining walls, some barge berths and ground improvements of 136 Ha of reclaimed land. The checking will require close liaison between the client and the local design institute who undertook the designs.

 

The Project Director and Project Manager are respectively Michael Lai and Harris Wong of the China Infrastructure Group. The team will be supported by Maunsell Geotechnical Services Ltd. on geotechnical aspects.
